
GC2027 Church Prep
As you prepare your 2027 church budget, we want to provide some early information to help your church plan for participation in General Conference 2027.
General Conference will take place April 15–18, 2027, at The Westin Hotel in Ottawa, bringing together pastors, delegates, and leaders from across Canada for a meaningful time of worship, fellowship, discernment, and decision-making.
To assist local churches with their budgeting plans, here is a breakdown:
SPECIAL PROVISIONS

| TRAVEL | Travel is part of the conference registration, ordained ministers and lay delegates can submit their travel cost for reimbursement. |
| MEALS | $100–$200 - Budget for meals not included in the registration cost |
| TOTAL ESTIMATED COST | $1,200 per attendee |
Retired Ministers
Retired pastors can participate as full voting members of General Conference. The registration fee is waived, and travel reimbursement follows as above. Again you are responsible for hotel and meal costs not included in the registration fee.
Church Plants
Active Church Plants formed after General Conference 2024 – do not need to pay the registration fee. But are responsible for their travel and accommodation costs. Contact the Church Planting Department to inquire about travel and accommodation subsidies.
We know that attending General Conference represents a significant investment for local churches, but it is also an important opportunity to participate in the life and ministry of our Canadian Free Methodist family. We are grateful for the commitment churches make to ensure that their voices are represented and can engage fully in the work God is doing among us.
