March 2023

As digital media continues to dominate the world of publishing, it’s rare to see a magazine make the transition from online back to print and digital. I have told myself that the decision to do this is a brave and bold choice (smile). The MOSAIC, formerly The Free Methodist Herald, began publishing in 1922, and has more than 100 years of history. As you can imagine, the Herald/MOSAIC has gone through several iterations since its conception and this latest edition signals a new adaptation for this season. The MOSAIC will now be produced annually with an updated mandate: to bridge the geographical divide that separates our local congregations across this vast and beautiful country. Through storytelling, we aim to highlight the unique ways Free Methodist congregations and individuals make a difference in their congregations and communities. We believe sharing these stories from different regions across Canada can spark ideas in your own neighbourhoods. Hence the title of this first annual edition of the MOSAIC, “Stories That Connect Us.”
