Given the pressures some of us are feeling this month, I thought this would be a good verse to celebrate:
“Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances,
for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” (1 Thes. 5:16)
Isn’t it wonderful to know that it is always right to be joyful in the Lord no matter our circumstances? This is not based on wishful, positive, or unfounded thinking, but on the fact that God’s Kingdom is advancing and will win the day; that greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world.
Recently my wife and I were watching a documentary on WWII and how for the first couple of years things looked very bleak as the Nazis’ seemed to be getting the upper hand. But then the tide turned bit by bit. We don’t know the details of the battle we are in, but we can rejoice always because we know that Jesus, who rose from the dead, is with us even unto the ends of the earth and will work all things together for our good and His glory. Don’t miss out and forget to add being joyful always to your continual praying and being thankful in all circumstances.
