“Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations” (Psalm 100, NIV).
The posture of our hearts will determine the outlook we have on life. As we choose to focus on the good, we can celebrate all the more with our Lord, regardless of our situation. But if we choose to always focus on the negative, things may never be enough.
As our society jumps full force into a season of giving and receiving material items, let us choose to “enter His gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise” (Ps. 100.4); to celebrate the reason for this season; to celebrate our King coming to earth to have relationship with us.
We invite you to pick one thing everyday to be thankful for. We are his people and let us give thanks to him.
