Our Leadership

Rev. Dr. Cliff Fletcher

Bishop of The Free Methodist Church in Canada

“FMCIC, we must distinguish ourselves as a people of peace, in this season. People of peace (Jesus-people) are firmly rooted in our historical faith, prayer and committed to the “Great Commission”, while also being exceedingly humble, hospitable, and loving. Peace is not passive, it pursues justice, and equity; it is courageous, sacrificial, creative, and generous. This is the kind of Church that Canada needs.”

Rev. Dr. Cliff Fletcher is the Bishop of the Free Methodist Church in Canada. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Carleton University, a Masters of Divinity in Marriage & Family Therapy from Tyndale Seminary, and a Doctorate of Ministry in Leadership Development from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He is a member of the Ontario College of Psychotherapists, as well as being a Spiritual Director. Cliff has been married to his best friend Karlene (a Worship & Creative Arts Director) for over 30 years, and together they have two children: Abby (married to Josh) and Greg. Cliff loves praying, reading, kayaking, hiking, cross-country skiing, and traveling with Karlene and family. He’s learning to paint and is still a Habs fan.
