Regional and Transitional Coach Rev. Cam Taylor

Hello! Today, we are excited to introduce Rev. Cam Taylor. He is an ordained Free Methodist pastor and a certified leadership coach. Cam serves as a church planting coach and a transition coach for churches going through transition. He also leads a ministry that trains and supports transitional leaders across other denominations and serves as a grief mentor and coach. Cam is also the author of two books: *Between Pastors* and *Unlocking the Mystery of Grief.*

In his work with churches in transition within the FMCiC, Cam collaborates with Regional Coaches and the Church Health team to educate, assess, and help develop healthy pathways for these congregations. He strives to understand the various challenges that require attention during the transition process. One of the tools we have included in our transition process, which he now employs, is a pre-assessment survey designed to raise awareness of the church’s strengths and identify areas that may need improvement. Cam facilitates a virtual meeting with the church board to discuss the assessment results, with the goal of fostering a dialogue focused on learning, listening, and gaining clarity on the next steps.

When a church is in transition, it can be beneficial to view this period as an opportunity to pause, grieve appropriately, and renew spiritually and relationally, clarify the vision, enhance organizational health, and conduct the pastoral search from a position of clarity and well-being regarding the church’s direction and leadership needs.

Cam is passionate about discipling and equipping individuals and churches so they may fully embrace their God-given potential.
