- Story
Kenneth Kennedy was born in Lacombe, Alberta and passed away, 91 years later, on October 5th, 2022 in Welland, Ontario. It was while attending the Free Methodist camp in Alberta that he accepted Jesus as his personal saviour. It was at Alex Camp too that he met the girl that would become his life partner. While a student at Moose Jaw Bible College, later called Aldersgate College, he felt God’s strong call into pastoral ministry. Ken and Elsie ministered together for over fifty years in Free Methodist Churches: two in Alberta, namely Lacombe and Edmonton; five in Ontario, namely London, St. Catharines, Zion, Ridgeway and Burlington; and one in Quebec, namely Clarenceville. Ken is remembered fondly by his many friends for his keen sense of humour and his skill at storytelling. But most of all, by the crowd of people who are part of the kingdom of God because of his witness in preaching, teaching and testifying.
