40 Days of Prayer & Fasting: Week 6 Praise & Prayer Points

Day 36 (May 10, 2020)

Praise – As a nation we are starting to take baby steps towards life free from the negative effects of Covid-19.

Prayer – That God would give our leaders wisdom to guide us through recovery from the pandemic, that we will learn what we need to learn from it both on a material level and a spiritual level.

Day 37 (May 11, 2020)

Praise That we were able to gather for a nation-wide FMCIC check-in, that we had time to pray together and that we are learning how to use the technology to advance the kingdom.

Prayer – That the Lord will guide us about when, how and where we should meet for General Conference in the future and what He would have us focus on.

Day 38 (May 12, 2020)

Praise – That we are part of the larger Free Methodist Church family that is taking the gospel to the ends of the earth in many countries of the world.

Prayer – That the FM churches in the developing countries will be able to stay strong through this time and be a light and a help to those around them (in particular our Child Care Development program).

Day 39 (May 13, 2020)

Praise – That God is faithful to His word that if we draw near to Him, He will draw near to us do even more than we can ask or imagine.

Prayer – For a great awakening! Pray that the fresh awareness of mortality and the feeling that so much is beyond our control right now would draw hearts back to faith who have fallen away. Pray that this crisis massively softens and humbles hearts across our region and nation. Pray it creates a wide-spread hunger for God and the peace He alone brings.

Day 40 (May 14, 2020)

Praise – That 32 of the 40 days were covered in prayer by 33 churches, that many people regularly prayed over the 40 days (often using the prayer resources) and that God is stirring up a spirit of prayer and supplication among us.

Prayer – That we would continue to grow our prayer muscles so that we can pray more deeply, extensively, faith-filled prayers until we are experiencing a noticeable renewal among us and through us.
