Updates from Our Mission Districts: Sri Lanka & Ghana

I’m excited to share some encouraging updates from our two Free Methodist mission districts—Sri Lanka and Ghana.

In Sri Lanka, the church family is preparing for a full and inspiring week at family camp. This gathering will be a time of teaching, prayer, worship, and connection. A key moment will be the annual meeting, where a new superintendent will be elected under Bishop Linda’s leadership. Please keep these meetings in your prayers, asking God to guide the process and bless the church in Sri Lanka with renewed strength and vision.

Turning to Ghana, we’re thrilled that Superintendent Ahmed will be joining us in Canada this fall! He’ll be present at both Minister’s Conferences—September 16–18 in Saskatoon and September 23–25 at Wesley Acres. Beyond that, from September 16 to October 3, he’ll be traveling with us, visiting churches, meeting with leaders, and sharing firsthand about the incredible work God is doing in Ghana.

This is a special opportunity for Canadian churches to listen, learn, and celebrate together with our Ghanaian brothers and sisters. If you’d like to invite Superintendent Ahmed to your church or board during his visit, please reach out—we’d love to make that possible.

Let’s continue to pray for both Sri Lanka and Ghana, giving thanks for the ways God is at work in these mission districts.
