We are working together to develop a shared understanding of who the Free Methodist Church in Canada is and who God is calling us to become. I sense a need to come together as a movement, not just in Canada but also as part of the over 1.5 million Free Methodist members around the world. The Free Methodist Church in Canada has a rich history and impact that we need to remember and celebrate. We are Kingdom leaders who see the truth and beauty of the Free Methodist Story and how it can help people be truly free.
Over this past year we have been adapting our Free Methodist systems, structure, and culture to help us become the movement Canada needs – that passionately reflects the vision of the Free Methodist Church which was articulated at our General Conference – ‘IMAGINE! What could we accomplish together with pure hearts, restored joy and a willing spirit?” It was a great question then and it remains a great question now!
