We are deeply grateful for the generous support of the New Horizons for Seniors Program, whose recent grant has made it possible for us to preserve something truly priceless — the stories of faithful ministry.
Through this funding, we were able to purchase high-quality video cameras that have now been placed at several of our camps. These cameras are being used to record the ministry testimonies of our retired ministers — men and women whose lives have been poured out in service to Christ and His Church.
Why This Matters
Our retired ministers carry decades of wisdom, sacrifice, leadership, and faithfulness. Their stories reflect:
- Churches planted and revitalized
- Communities transformed
- Prayers answered
- Trials endured
- Lives changed through the gospel
- These testimonies are more than memories. They are part of our shared spiritual inheritance.
- Capturing these stories on video allows us to:
- Preserve our history for future generations
- Inspire young leaders and pastors
- Celebrate God’s faithfulness across the decades
- Honour those who have faithfully served
A Summer of Storytelling
This past summer, testimony recordings took place at:
- Wesley Acres Camp
- Maple Grove Christian Retreat Centre
- Several gatherings in Quebec
In these sacred spaces — often the same camps where many of these leaders preached, prayed, and mentored others for years — they sat before the camera and shared the stories of how God called them, sustained them, and worked through them.
There is something profoundly fitting about recording these testimonies at our camps. Camps have always been places of calling, renewal, and deep spiritual encounter. Now, they are also becoming places where legacy is preserved.
Looking Ahead
This initiative is just beginning. We look forward to continuing to record and archive these testimonies so they can be shared more broadly within our movement. Our hope is that future pastors, leaders, and congregations will hear these voices and be strengthened in their own calling.
We are thankful to New Horizons for Seniors for investing in this vision. Because of their support, stories that might otherwise have been lost are now being safeguarded — stories of faithfulness that will inspire generations to come.
