Linda attended Aldersgate College in SK and graduated from Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester, NY with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and from Indiana Wesleyan University with a Master in Science in Community Health. She also received licensure in midwifery from the University of Mississippi. She used her training to improve health care in the African countries she served, emphasizing prevention of medical problems among women of childbearing age.

Linda was appointed as a Free Methodist missionary by the Commission on Mission (FMC-USA) in May 1981. She retired in November 2014.
After more than 20 years of missionary service in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Linda was based in North America due to health reasons and continued to serve as a link between the FMC in the DRC and in North America.
