Reynolds grew up in Stittsville, Ontario as the eldest of six children. While serving in the Royal Canadian Air Force he was converted in the home of a pastor who was starting a new church.
Reynolds was ordained in the Holiness Movement Church and together he and his wife, Eliza Jane, pastored in several Ontario communities; Bishop Mills & Kemptville; Metcalfe and Ramsayville; Boyds Settlement and Carleton Place; Cordova Mines and Victoria; Whitby, Val Caron, Chatham, Enterprise and Clarenceville, Quebec.
Reynolds had a keen interest in community life and was very concerned that people come to know Jesus as Saviour. Beyond his church ministries Reynolds also had an interest in political parties that had a strong emphasis on Christianity and he was well for his contributions to the Right to Life movement. After his retirement in 1990 he spent most of his time visiting and encouraging seniors as well as many others.
Eliza-Jane and Reynolds were the loving parents of Bill, Stewart (who predeceased them), Bonny Chapman and Ann Kenny as well as grandparents to 10 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
