Glen went to be with the Lord on March 10, 2016 in his 88th year. Many years ago, he stepped forward to say “yes” to God’s call to follow him. After completing his education at Aldersgate College, Seattle Pacific College and Western Evangelical Seminary, he was ordained as a minister in the Saskatchewan Annual Conference of the Free Methodist Church in 1954. During his days at seminary he served as a pastor in the West Linn, Corvallis and Eugene congregations in Oregon and then returned to Ontario where he served at: Ottawa – Fifth Avenue, Newmarket, and Niagara Falls. In 1985 he was elected as the Superintendent of the Great Lakes Annual Conference.

In his tribute to Glen, Bishop Elford wrote, “I suppose that we state the obvious when we say that Glen was a “tall man”. I do not speak here only of his physical stature, but of his character. Without needing to draw attention to himself, he walked tall (not in arrogance but in humility) and was respected as a man of God. He was kind and respectful toward those with whom he interacted. He was deeply loved by those who knew him well. He was an effective pastor and a respected leader in the FMCiC. As long as I knew him, he did not cease from being keenly interested in the work of the Lord and from encouraging people to give their hearts to the Lord Jesus Christ and live as one of His devoted followers. The most important thing that we can say about Glen is this: He was a gracious Christian.

Glen was predeceased by his wife Eunice in 2007 and his son Ronald in 2012. He is survived by Sandra and Bob Gibbons, Mary Ann Buffam, Carol and Lanny Wright, two grandchildren and one great grandson.
We are grateful to God for a life well lived for His Master.
