Retired Ministers in the FMCIC
Welcome! Our desire is that every retired minister continues to feel valued, engaged, and part of our Free Methodist family. Whether you are preparing for retirement, navigating the transition, or embracing this new season of life, we are here to walk with you — encouraging continued service, community, and flourishing at every stage of ministry.
Connect with others in the community of FMCIC retirees through events, the Directory of Retired Ministers, and more!

Advocacy
Part of our mandate is to advocate on behalf of retirees and pre-retirees within The Free Methodist Church in Canada. We want to help ensure that your voices are heard and your needs are understood. We hope to provide practical resources in the form of webinars, videos and books to prepare you for retirement, and serve as a bridge between retirees and the denomination, so that no one navigates this season alone.
Resources & Stories
Retirement is a major life transition — spiritually, emotionally, and administratively. Here you will find links to many things: FMCIC pension information, a video showcase with videos and webinars from Advisors with Purpose, More Than Enough Financial Fitness, Canada Life and more. There are some links to the Government of Canada website as well as a section where Retired Minsters share their ministry journeys. All these are intended to resource you and encourage you in this next chapter of your life.
RMT Mission:
Our focus is three-fold: Connection, Advocacy, and sharing Resources and Stories.
We foster meaningful connection so retired ministers continue to feel valued, engaged, and part of our Free Methodist family. We create purposeful activities that encourage fellowship, growth, and ongoing contribution in this season of life. And we advocate for and support ministers as they prepare for retirement, navigate the transition, and settle into this new chapter.
By listening carefully and building strong connections, we want to share resources and stories that will support and encourage those who have served the FMCIC so faithfully.
