Imagine Your Church as a Mentoring Culture

This workshop will address questions like, “Why should mentoring be a central part of the church’s calling?” “What does biblical mentoring look like?” “Who should be a mentor?” “Do pastors need mentors?” “What happens if mentoring is lacking?” “How do you mentor the various demographics of a church?” The workshop will illustrate from examples of MentorLink Canada engagment in developing mentoring cultures in local churches.  It will point toward useful tools and offer personal consultation opportunities for participants.

TERRY DOREY

Terry Dorey is the Associate Director of MentorLink Canada living in Belleville where he is mentoring individuals and encouraging pastors. He recently retired from his pastoral role at Brantford Community Church where he developed a mentoring team that is continuing that ministry. He has also been coaching the Westport Free Methodist Church in developing a mentoring ministry. Terry is a people person who has served in pastoral roles for 37 years.
