Instead of posting inspirational messages or scripture verses on their church sign, Picton Free Methodist church, in beautiful Picton, ON, made the strategic choice to post messages that bring a smile and chuckle to those who read it.
« We’re changing the sign weekly and are receiving hundreds of messages a week, most from strangers, about how much humour is so needed during this pandemic, and they appreciate our church providing it, » explains Lead Pastor Kevin Stenhouse. « In the words of one of our leaders, ‘We have been trying to make our church visible in the community, and our sign is doing it with great humour right now!' »
