CliffsNotes – December 11, 2018

Every FM local church in Canada is prayerfully asking, “How do I accept responsibility for my community?” Lakeside Community Church sent me this video, and I asked Pastor Ken Dryden (“Yes THE Ken Dryden, but not the hockey player… the FM pastor Ken Dryden”) to tell me more about the initiative. His response is below along with the video.
Thank you Lakeside for sharing how your church is accepting responsibility for your community!

One of the things that came out of our times of prayer and discernment prompted by that question was that we needed to be generous with the facility that God has given us in downtown Salmon Arm.  Our office space was very under utilized and we needed to do a major refocusing of our ministry. The result of that, has been a total transformation of the space we lease in an office building to create what we are calling “hOurspace on Fourth”.

This is a CoWorking office open to those who are looking for an inexpensive and attractive space to work alongside others in an atmosphere that is positive and will help them thrive in their work.  People can drop in to use a “Hot Desk” or book a private office.  In time we are praying that our regular “hOurspace”                       members see themselves as part of a community who are making our city a better place to live and work. Here is a short video of what the space now look like: hOurspace on Fourth
